Young @ Heart
Daycare

Too many good things to leave out...
Being a first time mother finding daycare is a daunting task! Our daughter K was 6 months old when we started the search. My husband and I interviewed approximately six people that we had found off of the states licensing website. Everyone was nice, but no one gave us the "this is the person" feeling that we all look for. I remember it was a Sunday...the day before I started my new job and we didn't have anyone lined up. I was a train wreck!! We decided to expand our search area and I came across Young @ Heart. I called Tonya in a panic and she told me she just had an opening and we could come by that evening.
There are no words to describe how I felt when she opened the door...Ms. Tonya WAS the person we had been looking for! She was warm, welcoming, attentive, thorough with all our questions, and most importantly K really responded to her. While the first day was hard away from K, Ms. Tonya sent pictures throughout the day for me and always picked up the phone when I wanted to check in.
K attended Young @ Heart till she was 2.5 years old. We recently moved to Fort Collins for an opportunity within my company, but I have to say leaving was by far one of the most difficult things I've ever had to do. Saying goodbye was just as hard as finding Ms. Tonya in the first place!! Her family became our family. Ms. Tonya is amazing with children. She has helped mold K into a polite, respectful, and very intelligent little girl. We are complimented in public quite often on Kaylin's manners as well as how well she speaks. Most people think we have a 5 year old and are shocked when we tell them she just turned 3. We are forever grateful for all that she has done for our family.
Several daycares never leave the home and offer only back yard play time. While this is certainly nice, Ms. Tonya took K on tons of field trips. At first the idea scared me a bit, but I have to say I wouldn't have done anything differently. We are so glad that K got to experience the world outside especially with other kids her age. She got to visit the Zoo, several parks, Children's Museum, etc. We are so thankful that outside of a classroom setting she got to interact with the world around her. Ms. Tonya even offered to take K to dance classes at a local studio with the other little girls! Young @ Heart truly is one of a kind!
Ms. Tonya is not only special to us, but so is her own family. Her husband and her children are so fun. K loves visiting with them just as much as Ms. Tonya. During our time with Young @ Heart her family made sure to always make us feel as if we were there during the day too. I would get pictures from field trips and at the end of the year we would get the best present EVER...that I have to leave as a surprise though!
THANK YOU so much to Young @ Heart for all the amazing memories! A.V.
My daughter started with Young at Heart when she was 18 months old and has been with Tonya for 2 years and I can say right from the beginning there was dramatic improvements in my child. Improvements such as behavior, cognitive learning, social skills, just about anything that you can think her has jumped by leaps and bounds.
Tonya is not your typical daycare provider; she genuinely cares about the needs and the growth of all children she has in her care.
I can honestly say when my husband and I drop my daughter off in the mornings, I do not give a second thought as to what could happen negatively while she is in daycare. She is in perfect hands.
Something can be said when your child runs to daycare and does not even want to give you a kiss goodbye, she cannot wait to see friends in the mornings and tells us all about her day, every time she comes home from daycare. That in and of itself, assures me that we made the right decision.
Young at Heart and Tonya are a definite blessing to our family, we could not be more pleased.
